The Atlanta-based label will reissue The Truth on May 14 and Fool Me Good on June 12 in conjunction with Record Store Day.  This is the first time these recordings will be available on vinyl. Both of the original recordings produced by Grammy nominated producer, Amos Harvey  (Cedric Burnside) have been re-mastered by Grammy®-nominated engineer, Pete Lyman (John Prine, Sturgill Simpson), at Infrasonic Mastering and were pressed by Kindercore Vinyl in Athens, Georgia, with fully reconstructed packaging. The limited-edition Fool Me Good will be exclusively available in select independent record stores and feature the deluxe Record Store Day treatment with colored vinyl, 180 gram pressings, and Stoughton Tip-On Gatefold jackets.

Precious Bryant was born in 1942 in Talbot County, Georgia, just east of Columbus. Precious’ early performances were in the Baptist church. Blues folklorist George Mitchell first recorded Precious in 1969. Over a decade later, at Mitchell’s coaxing, Precious agreed to play the Columbus Museum’s Chattahoochee Folk Festival. It was her first formal public appearance and she was an instant hit. Her naturally warm stage presence, coupled with her lively, articulate guitar style and tender but energetic voice, quickly won her a devoted audience in the area. Along with her own compositions, any song she chose to play was instantly transformed into a moving arrangement stamped with the attitude and assuredness of the true performer she was. Precious only recorded two full-length commercial records, both on the Terminus label: Fool Me Good in 2002 and The Truth in 2005. Both garnered worldwide attention, including the award for Best Blues Record of the Year by the French Academy of Music for Fool Me GoodFool Me Good, was nominated for two Blues Music Awards in the categories Acoustic Blues Album of the Year and Best New Artist Debut. In 2006, she was nominated for a similar award for Traditional Blues Female Artist of the Year, as were Koko TaylorMaria Muldaur and the winner of the award, Etta James.  Sadly, Precious passed away in 2013.

George Mitchell commented in the liner notes for Fool Me Good, “Precious Bryant is a Georgia musical treasure. She was one of the last living exponents, and certainly the most active, of a truly wonderful blues tradition that is unique to the southwest region of Georgia. Not only was she one of the last—she is no doubt one of the best who ever sang and played this spirited style of blues.”

Terminus Records, founded in 1999 by brothers Jeff Bransford and Steve Bransford, produced and licensed over thirty records over a five-year period. The label specialized in roots, rock, jazz and electronic music.  In 2021, Terminus Records partnered with Mempho Records and started a new chapter as a vinyl reissue label with distribution via Think Indie.
