ATHENS, GA-BASED POWER TRIO, PINKY DOODLE POODLE, EMBARKS ON 2019 SUMMER TOUR

ATHENS, GA—Pinky Doodle Poodle, one of the most popular bands in the current Athens, GA music scene, is taking their intense, high energy and fun on the road with a string of shows in the Southeast, including a performance at The Flagpole Music Awards show at the historic Morton Theatre in Athens on June 23rd.

Guitarist George and vocalist/bass guitarist Yuria formed as a duo in Tokyo in the summer of 2008, touring with a support drummer, and released their first maxi single.  By fall of 2009, they released their first EP in Europe and toured the UK, France, and Belgium. In 2011 they released their 2nd EP in Europe and toured Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, and Italy and Belgium, building a solid fan base.

In 2012, the band was contacted by Robby Takac (Goo Goo Dolls) and signed to his Good Charamel Records.  In the fall of 2012, the band recorded at GCR Audio in Buffalo and began playing their first U.S. shows, including Music Is Art festival in Buffalo.  In 2014, the band released their first full-length album, Pinky Doodle Poodle on Good Charamel Records quickly followed by a 2nd release, Inside Is Out, in 2015, in support of their first U.S. Tour. WE BANJO 3 TO RELEASE ROOTS TO RISE LIVE ON JULY 19, 2019, IN SUPPORT OF THE CONTINUATION OF THEIR ROOTS TO RISE SUMMER AND FALL TOUR

NASHVILLE, TN—The award-winning Irish band We Banjo 3 will self-release a new live recording, Roots To Rise Live, on July 19, 2019, in support of the continuation of their Roots To Rise tour of the U.S. in mid-summer and fall of 2019. Roots To Rise Live will be released on CD, vinyl and on most digital platforms.  The band is currently pre-selling special bundled packages on their website from now until July 18th.

Roots To Rise Live was recorded on February 27th and February 28th, 2019, at The Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a city that the band considers a second home.  The live recording features 14 songs and is a mix of original material, traditional compositions, and select cover songs, including a surprise in the middle of “Prettiest Little Girl.”   It also includes two previously unreleased tunes, “Shine On,” which is a fan favorite at their live shows, and “John Brown’s.”  Roots To Rise Live was engineered by Mike Monseur and produced and mixed by Frank Marchand at Waterford Digital in Millersville, MD.  It was mastered at The Bakery in Los Angeles.
