SCOTTISH BAND, SKERRYVORE, TO RETURN TO THE U.S. AND CANADA IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER ON THEIR 360 WORLD TOUR

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND–Skerryvore, an award-winning eight piece band from Scotland, will return to the U.S. and Canada this fall following up on their highly successful spring tour of North America.  The band is calling this their “360 World Tour” since they will have virtually toured the entire year of 2019 going into 2020 all the while filming every show with a specialized 360 camera.  In addition to the U.S. and Canada, 2019 has already found them in Australia, Holland, Denmark, England and, of course, Scotland.  Read more…

THE 11TH ANNUAL WILD RUMPUS PARADE & SPECTACLE “FLOW*R POW*R” TO BE HELD IN DOWNTOWN ATHENS, GA, ON OCTOBER 25-26, 2019

FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR NUÇI’S SPACE

 

ATHENS, GA—The 11th annual Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle FLOW*R POW*R will take place in various locations in historic Athens, Georgia, on Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th. This 2 day celebration has grown into a substantial fundraiser and one of the biggest holiday festivals in the Southeast. The weekend includes many free and ticketed special events, including The Monster Mash for children, a kick-off party, a 5 K race and fun run, and much more.  The main event is a free, all-inclusive, family-friendly COSTUME PARADE through the streets of downtown Athens enhanced by street performers and live bands along the parade route.  It culminates with a HUGE dance party adjacent to City Hall followed by the Royal Rumpus Ball at the Georgia Theatre. WE BANJO 3’S ROOTS TO RISE LIVE DEBUTS AT # 1 ON BILLBOARD’S BLUEGRASS ALBUMS CHART!

NASHVILLE, TN— Roots To Rise Live, a new live recording from the Irish band We Banjo 3, was released on July 19th; it debuted this week in the # 1 position on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Chart.  The band’s last studio recording, Haven, was released in July of 2018 and spent 3 weeks at # 1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart, the only self-released CD on a chart dominated by major label releases. Haven also re-entered the chart this week in the # 5 position.  Haven marked the first time an Irish band entered the # 1 position on the chart, thus Roots To Rise Live marks the second time for this grassroots crossover sensation.
