LIMITED EDITION TITLES FROM PRECIOUS BRYANT, COL. BRUCE HAMPTON, AND DANNY BARNES TO BE REISSUED ON JUNE 12, 2021, IN CONJUCTION WITH RECORD STORE DAY

ATLANTA, GA- The Atlanta-based Terminus Records will reissue 11 titles on vinyl from their eclectic catalog in 2021 including recordings from the award-winning blueswoman, Precious Bryant; Grammy®-nominated Americana pioneer, Danny Barnes; legendary bluesman/guitarist, Col. Bruce Hampton; improvisational rock band, Slang (featuring Dave Schools of Widespread Panic and Layng Martine III); heralded songwriter, Jerry Joseph; gospel bluesman, Boyd Rivers; psychedelic funk band, Big Ass Truck; and experimental jazz ensemble, Mylab.  All of the original recordings have been re-mastered by Grammy®-nominated engineer, Pete Lyman (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell), at Infrasonic Mastering. They are being pressed on the highest quality vinyl by Kindercore Vinyl in Athens, Georgia, with fully reconstructed packaging.

Three of the titles will be reissued on June 12, 2021, in conjunction with Record Store Day drop.  These include:  Precious Bryant’s Fool Me Good, Col. Bruce Hampton’s Arkansas, and Danny BarnesDirt On The Angel. These limited edition releases will be exclusively available in select independent record stores and feature the deluxe Record Store Day treatment with colored vinyl, 180 gram pressings, and Stoughton Tip-On Gatefold jackets.

Legendary blueswoman Precious Bryant, known for her warmth and Piedmont fingerstyle guitar, garnered rave reviews in 2002 with the release of Fool Me Good, including Blues Record of the Year by the French Academy of Music. She only recorded one other album, The Truth (2005) garnering her worldwide attention.  Sadly, she passed away in 2013.  The reissue marks the first time Fool Me Good will be available on vinyl.

Col. Bruce Hampton is quite simply a legend revered by his musical peers with a career dating back to the late ‘60s. He is best known for Hampton Grease Band and Aquarium Rescue Unit.  Arkansas, produced by Ricky Keller, was originally released in 1987 and again on CD by Terminus Records in 2000, features special guests Tinsley Ellis, Paul Barrere, T Lavitz, Oliver Wells, Jimmy Herring, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Sipe, and Rev. Jeff Mosier; it is considered Hampton’s most critically acclaimed studio album. Hampton passed away on stage at his seventieth birthday celebration at The Fox Theatre in 2017.

Grammy® nominated multi-instrumentalist Danny Barnes staked his claim as a traditionalist who didn’t mind breaking the rules by irreverently mixing punk, rock, rockabilly, and electronica into the bluegrass formula. His Austin-based band, The Bad Livers (1990-2000), helped shape the genre of music now called Americana.  Dirt On The Angel (2003) features special guests including pianist Chuck Leavell, guitarist Bill Frisell, violinist Darol Anger and multi-instrumentalist Dirk Powell.  The reissue marks the first time Dirt on The Angel will be available on vinyl.

Terminus Records, founded in 1999 by brothers Jeff Bransford and Steve Bransford, produced and licensed over thirty records over a five-year period. The label specialized in roots, rock, jazz and electronic music.  In 2021, Terminus Records partnered with Mempho Records and started a new chapter as a vinyl reissue label with distribution via Think Indie.
